Why do you offer unlimited storage?
We at Kabooza do not want to limit the usage of your account. The account is designed for personal usage with the flexibility to store all your files and photos. We believe that you should be able to backup all your files straight away when you become a user and not just some each month.
Why should I pay for a Kabooza account?
Kabooza is the most secure way of storing your digital photos. The photos will be stored in an external server which make them survive your hard drive crashes, natural disasters, computer thefts etc. Also, it will be impossible for anyone without your email address and password to get availibility to your private photos.
How do I share my photos with my friends and family?
Click the "share" icon under the photo after you log on to your online account and select which friends to share with through clicking the squares next to their email addresses. Now your friends can find your photo on Kabooza by just entering their email address
How do I make my photos availible to everybody?
Click the "make public" icon under the pictures after you log on to your online account. Now anyone that knows your email address can find your photos on Kabooza.
Why can't I find my photos that are stored on my computer in my account?
You need to install the Kabooza backup application in Windows XP. Then enter your user registration information and get your computer connected to the internet. A broadband connection is highly recommended. The first time you use the Kabooza Backup application it may take some time depending on the amount of photos you have availible.
Why can't I delete, move or rename my photos on the web?
You can do any changes you want to your photos through Windows Explorer on your computer . add, move, delete or rename. This is the fastest and easiest way to work. The changes will be automatically updated to the web next time Kabooza Backup application on your computer updates the changes. You can speed things up by clicking "update now" on your system tray menu
What happens when my subscription runs out?
Don't worry! You can still get access to your photos anytime. However, without renewing your subscription you won't be able to upload any new photos.
How should I structure my picture folders to give the best effect with my automatic private albums?
The software automatically makes each folder into an independent album in your private albums. So the best approach is to call each folder name something that has all the relevant information. Eg “My Pictures/2009 Summer Holidays/…” is better than “My Pictures/2009 /Summer Holidays/…”. The reason is that the album name is created from the folder name.
Which order do my pictures have in the online albums?
Currently they are sorted by the file date.
How do I share part of an album?
Make a new folder on your computer an copy the pictures you want to share into that folder. Then click the upload now button on the backup software. In a few moments you will find an album in your online account that you can share.
Can I choose which picture is shown in the album overview pages?
Currently the picture with the lowest file date is automatically shown.
I want some of my albums shown in the public galleries of Kabooza. Why don’t my pictures show up there?
All your albums are by default private. If you want to share then them you have to click make public on an album. Then that album will show up in public spaces on Kabooza. TIP!: If you add ratings to your pictures you will have a higher chance of finding the pictures in the public galleries.
How do I share all my public pictures to someone?
All pictures you choose to make public show up on your personal profile page. Just send them a link to http://www.kabooza.com/”your@emailaddress”
Why do I have an album called ”unsorted”?
All pictures that you save in the root folder of you protected pictures folder are labled “unsorted”. Ideally you should create a folder with a suitable name in your picture folder and move them on your local computer to that folder.
